2005 Silent Auction
We’re so excited that you have chosen to attend the CMBDC Conference beginning March 16 in Palm Springs, California. Between the great sessions we have planned and the numerous networking opportunities, you won’t want to miss a minute of it!
This year, the executive and conference committees have decided to add an extra event for you to participate in. We will be hosting a silent auction on Thursday evening, March 17 to benefit the Children's Miracle Network / Credit Unions for Kids. Here’s how it will work:
All CMBDC conference attendees that would like to participate are asked to bring an auction item valued at a minimum of $50-up. The auction item should either represent their city, state or credit union. (Examples: a Georgia credit union could bring a gift basket with peach scented bath products, an airline credit union could bring a piece of luggage, a New York credit union could bring Broadway show tickets.)
Attendees should bring their auction items to the conference registration area beginning on Wednesday morning (unless you shipped them directly to the hotel). A special desk will be set up to receive and log each item. Minimum bids will be set at one-third of the value of the item.
Auction items will be on display near the registration desk throughout Wednesday and Thursday. The night of the auction, items will be moved to the Mediterranean Room where conference participants will have an opportunity to place final bids. Winning bids will be announced during the evening event and posted in the registration area the next day.
Items must be paid for by cash, check, VISA or MasterCard and made out to CMN. Auction items will be available for pick up the evening of the event and at the registration desk until the close of the conference on Saturday. Any auction items not claimed by that time will become the property of the CMBDC.
In order for us to keep tabs on the amount of items coming in, please let us know if you will participate and the item you will be bringing.
