2008 Silent Auction
CELEBRATE ST. PATTY'S DAY BY BRINGING THE MUSIC BACK!
Join us Monday evening, March 17th, from 5:00 – 7:00 as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Fourth Annual Silent Auction! All proceeds will go to the National Credit Union Foundation Disaster Relief Fund.

Preview Auction
Choose which items you bid on at the live auction by previewing select items early. Item descriptions and pictures will be posted shortly.
Item Registration
When you register your item this year, please provide a small description (2 – 3 sentences) that will encourage high bidding and a picture. Email Deb Verdecchia at dverdecchia@cuna.com with your description and picture.
What to Bring
Last year we raised just over $11,000 – in order to best that amount, we need items that will bring large bids. Here is a list of recommended items:
- Sports memorabilia – especially if it is autographed and authenticated
- Personal electronics – iPods, mp3 docking stations, Bluetooth earpieces
- Jewelry – especially if it is one of a kind, unique or from your specific area
- Artwork/Crafts – items from your area of the country
- Wines – stick with brands that are local to your area and may not be mass produced
Delivering your Items
There are two convenient options you can use to get your items to the conference.
1) You can ship your items to the Gaylord Opryland in advance, by shipping it to:

Please make sure that the name of your organization is clearly identified on any shipped items. Items cannot arrive any earlier than Wednesday, March 12.
2) You can bring your item with you. Items can be dropped off at the Silent Auction area during registration on Sunday and Monday morning. If no one is at the table, please leave your item with a business card attached that includes the dollar value of the item.
Bid Away
Bidding will begin immediately when an item is placed on the table, so, start checking the Silent Auction area as soon as you get registered. You can bid as often as you want. All bidding will close at 3:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon and then reopen at 5:00 p.m. during the Fourth Annual Silent Auction.
Items that are identified as “Live Auction” items will be on display in the Silent Auction bidding area.
Come Join the Party
Bring your checkbook or credit card to the Fourth Annual Silent Auction beginning at 5:00 pm Monday, March 17th. Live auction items will be bid on during the event, if you're not there, you can't bid – so come see if the Luck ‘o the Irish is on your side!
Don't worry about how to get your new items home - you can use our UPS station to ship all of your items home! The UPS station will be available on Wednesday morning.
