Member Spotlight: Becky Humphrey

Originally from Laredo, Texas, Becky graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. For the past eight years she has been a happy member of CFE Federal Credit Union in Florida.

Her career at CFE began as an assistant vice president/branch manager at the Apopka branch. She later applied for the position of business development specialist and has been part of the business development team ever since.

“The relationships I have established during my tenure in business development are invaluable to me,” says Becky. “Relating with members, SEGs, and vendors has been a great experience.”

She lives in Orlando with her husband and son, Austyn (named after UT/Austin!).

Biggest challenge

Keeping up with the continuous demands of business development. CFE was granted a community charter in March, and it has been a wild and exciting ride.

Success story

CFE has been a partner with A Gift for Teaching for the past four years. AGFT is a free store that allows teachers who teach in low-performing or at-risk schools to shop(for free) for school supplies. n Central Florida there are over 100,000 students who are on either free or reduced lunch programs. CFE recognized the need and responded. CFE has an annual Push for Pencils school supply drive during the summer. We collect tons of supplies and donate them to AGFT, along with a financial contribution from CFE. Our president/CEO now serves on their board.
