Biggest challenge

Our charter just recently changed to a community-based one. This was a huge adjustment in how I marketed to our current SEGs and the community on a limited budget.

Best advice

Do not take what other people say to heart. If you come up with a promotion and people shut it down, move on. If you dwell on it, you will not be able to grow.

Greatest benefit of Council membership

The Listserv is a wonderful asset! I love the Listserv! It is a great asset to be able to feed off of each others ideas!

Best part of my job

Being out in the community, making a difference, helping people.

Hardest part of my job

Dealing with people who don't want to do their job. If I am excited about a program and want it to go well, I try my hardest to get everyone involved. There always seems to be that one person who just won't budge.

Success story

We just had an open house to welcome the community. We had over 67 accounts opened and over 2 million dollars in deposits in one day.

Hobbies and interests

I love all the arts. I dabble in it all, but I am probably not good in any of them.

People would be surprised to learn that I . . .

Went to nursing school and almost graduated until I decided it was not for me.

Recent book

Hello Heaven

Life goal not yet accomplished

To have children and a white picket fence.

Something that makes me laugh

My mother’s dogs. They are tea-cup-sized and jump all over the place.

If I had an extra hour in the day . . .

I’d work on my house. I bought an old house that needs a lot of TLC.
