As a charter member of the Marketing and Business Development Council, I've watched it grow into a premier organization dedicated to raising the professionalism of all its members. I'm excited about how the organization continually looks for ways to provide valuable tools and experiences that will help its members be successful and valuable to their organizations. This excitement has inspired me to humbly offer my knowledge and experience as a senior marketing and business development executive to the CMBDC Executive Committee. Thank you for your vote and confidence in me.

Tyler Disburg
Chief Administrative Officer, Montana First CU, Missoula, MT
9,200 Members; $58M in Assets

Thank you for considering my nomination to the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee. My decision to seek nomination to this committee was not taken lightly. Throughout my tenure with credit unions I have encountered multiple challenges, many of which were mitigated through my involvement in, and connections made through the CMBDC. Through insight gained from other credit union professionals in CMBDC I have developed campaigns, increased local advocacy, and made positive impact on my credit union. Becoming a member of this committee is an opportunity to give back to an organization that I have benefited so greatly from.

Chris Harkness
AVP Business Development & Sales, Navigant CU, Smithfield, RI
46,000 Members; $1B in Assets

Dear CUNA comrades, colleagues and cohorts.  I seek election to the CMBDC Executive Committee to selfishly glean information from the Marketing and BD experts it consists of.  In addition, to represent the Northeast, in the absence of few key members.  One being my colleague here at Navigant, Tim Draper, on the tail end of his term, and, the recently departed John MacDonald (Merrimack FCU).  Not departed as in "dead" but he left the CU world - it's the same.  I am a Marketer at heart, Business Development/Sales Officer by hire.  I can provide fresh ideas and look forward to the challenges we face.

Michelle M. Hunter
SVP Marketing & Development, Credit Union of Southern California, Brea, CA

42,000 Members; $504M in Assets

As a senior marketing & business development professional that is passionate about our industry and profession, it is my humble desire to serve as a member of CUNA's M&BDC Executive Committee. If elected, I will help to further develop and promote the cooperative exchange of innovation, ideas, and practical implementation - raising our professionalism and contributions. I have proven experience with a small-sized credit union, mid-sized credit union, and at the largest state credit union trade association. I am excited to share my knowledge and unique experiences, and look forward to putting my well-rounded and unique perspective to work for you!

Bryn Johansen
Director Business Development, First Tech Credit Union, Beaverton, OR

153,000 Members; $1.6B in Assets

Having been a credit union professional since 2001 and a Council member for the past four years, I am confident that my experience in both small and large credit unions will be invaluable to the Executive Committee as it spearheads the growth of this Council. The collaboration I have experienced as part of the Council has helped me to successfully develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives in both of my credit unions. I hope to reciprocate my success with the privilege of serving on the Executive Committee of such a unique and progressive organization.

Charlotte Leo
Business Development Program Manager, American Airlines FCU, Dallas, TX

210,000 Members; $4.3B in Assets

As a business development program manager, I have spent the past five years serving our existing and potential members through various activities from marketing to most recently, managing AA Credit Union's ambassador program. My greatest accomplishment has been the redesign of our Ambassador program which won the CMBDC Best Practices award in 2007.

My passion coupled with my desire for the credit union community makes me an ideal candidate. As a council member, I will bring fresh ideas and I will contribute to the growth of programs and the awareness of marketing and business development's role in the credit union.

Kerry Goodliffe Parry
VP Marketing, Premier Members FCU, Boulder, CO

27,000 Members; $271M in Assets

I've done credit union marketing for twenty plus years. I have a BA Journalism/Mass Communication and an MS in Advertising Management. I've received numerous Diamond awards. But my greatest honor was in 2001 when I received CUNA's Marketing Professional of the Year award. As VP of Marketing at Premier Members for seventeen years, I have a great deal of experience.

I would love to serve on the executive committee because I have a lot to share. I've never been shy about expressing my opinion when it comes to something I am passionate about like credit unions and it would be an honor to serve on the committee.

Dewey Richardson
VP Marketing, Neighbors FCU, Baton Rouge, LA

52,000 Members; $360M in Assets

Being a former 10 year board member and now VP of Marketing for Neighbors FCU, I understand Marketing from both sides of the table. Having my own professional advertising and marketing firm for 11 years, marketing over 13 community banks. I have a great understanding of the banking and credit union industry and understand the difference of both and the advantages credit unions have to offer. Last year, with over 52% of Credit Unions losing membership, I believe it is imperative that someone with a strong vision take a stand and help promote and educate the nation on the need and benefits of credit unions. I understand both SEG based and Community Based credit unions and have developed a unique approach to the market to help further the movement and growth of our Credit Unions. I am very interested in being on the Executive Committee to help direct and lead this Credit Union Industry into the future for the benefit of all present and future CU members. I Thank You for Your Vote!
