Member Spotlight: Carol Payne

Carol Payne is vice president of communications and marketing for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues in Ontario, California.

“Although the Longhorn State in my blood, I came to California at a very young age,” says Carol. “I've worked for telephone trade associations, RCA communications, news rooms, news publications—even banks—but finally found a home with credit unions, an industry with a conscious.”

She enjoys working with her talented and dedicated co-workers at the California and Nevada Leagues. Carol also served on the CUNA Councils Executive Committee for six years as the league representative.

“We provided innovative strategy and insights to help fellow marketers and business development professionals throughout the U.S.,” says Carol. “I absolutely love it when a team accomplishes a very hard-fought goal and consistently strives for (not perfection) but exceptional excellence!”
