2004 Conference in Review
by Renee Dickson, Chair, CMBDC Executive Committee

Although it may seem hard to believe, it’s been more than two months since our 2004 annual conference in Miami Beach. For all those who attended, I sincerely hope you left the conference with plenty of new ideas, a few new friends, and your creative batteries fully recharged. While it’s always difficult planning a conference that will meet the specific needs of a diverse group of credit union marketing and business development professionals, I’m happy to report that this year’s conference evaluations show high marks in many areas. Here are just a few of the positive comments we received:

  • The conference is so valuable in terms of capturing ideas from others (speakers, award winners, and fellow marketers). You do a magnificent job mixing the three.
  • The sessions were outstanding. Very stimulating and a couple of incredible speakers. Patrick Adams is phenomenal!
  • Scheduling was really well done. I really felt like I had enough time to network and breathe. The keynote speaker started the conference off with a good kick and got my brain going.

While I wish that all of the comments were as glowing as those above, I understand that there will always be areas we can improve upon. Your comments and suggestions will be of great importance to the CMBDC Executive Committee as we begin planning next year’s conference. Rest assured, we will carefully review these evaluations to ensure that we are meeting your educational and networking needs! Thanks again for your input.

And speaking of next year’s conference, make sure to mark your calendar for March 16-19, 2005 as the CMBDC heads to beautiful Palm Springs, CA! Check out the CMBDC website for some early info on the conference.
